we started the day tired.. abby and i even took a nap together – she is the best napper in the world.. still.. at 7 years old!
in the past 3 days, Abby has had her 1st sleepover (away) at a good friend’s house, two birthday parties (not her own)… it has been very busy..
we woke her as she requests each year.. tom and i sneak down and sing happy birthday to her.. this year we didn’t have a big party – instead – we just had a day all about Abby.. whatever she wanted to do.. she chose..
chocolate chip pancakes with a puddle of syrup
to open presents before we went to a friend’s birthday party (yes, on her own special day)..
to eat a HUGE piece of birthday cake
take one friend to All Star Sports to play games – she didn’t want to ride go carts or play mini golf.. she just wanted to play games..
tomorrow she wants to go to Orange Leaf and get some dessert..
it was a simple day.. as she put it.. “just the best day ever”
i don’t really have any pictures to share right now.. she’s just gotten out of the shower and is ready to read one of her new books.. a chapter book.. in her incredibly messy room..
